Brand identity style guides give direction and cohesion to the brand project. They include color palettes, typographic style, and usually direction on imagery choices, and the reasoning behind these things. Establishing rules and basic structure for the brand as a whole gives organization to the brand.
The ability to create a brand style guide demonstrates a level of communication that should clarify any and all circumstances for design and resolve any issues that come with it.
